Popped Boobage & Belly

27 September 2005

There’s a photo of Jessica Simpson in October’s issue of In Style magazine wherein she is posturing in the manner of a little girl with an arched back and protruding belly.

Though of course mostly what protrudes on Jessica’s body are her bosoms.

At first this might appear Sexy, I mean lets face it all that bosom is very ample and thus attractive.

But arching one’s back baby doll fashion, isn’t very Safe because it sends a mixed message along the lines of, “I’m a cutesy girl, and I’m yours for the taking big boy,” even if that is not the intention of posturing like an eight year-old.

Actually, Jessica’s message accompanying said photo reads, “It’s Oscar de la Renta.  And very Doris Day, don’t you think?”  However, this is still a very confusing message.

Maybe I’m wrong, but I don’t recall seeing glamour shots of Doris, back arched, thrusting amply cleaved boobage at a camera lens.  She did have excellent posture due to those 1950 and sixties-styled darted and tailored suits that girdled and straightened the bod in the fashion of a 2005 disciplined yogini.

But we know Rock would not have been titillated by Doris pointing her bosoms in his direction, because Rock-a-boy wasn’t interested in Doris, or any other girl for that matter, least of all their bosoms!

In contrast to the Jessica popped-boobage-and-belly look, I saw a girl sporting a baby blue T-shirt emblazoned with, “You’re not invited.”

Another mixed message because those words were inscribed right across her chest!

I mean, not even I could avoid gawking at her bosoms in the effort to read that message, which apparently I should not have been reading in the first place because it meant having to look intently at her chest.

And then having got the message loud and clear, I felt terrible for inadvertently gawking at her bosoms!  Gawd, if you’re confused reading this, imagine how I felt reading her T-shirt.

There must be a look that’s somewhere between ”look at my boobs” / “don’t look at my boobs” — something both Safe & Sexy – any suggestions, Bloggers?
