The Finns love me, what can I say!
Actually it’s probably only a small population of Finnish folk, i.e. those that use the web, which would be about three million people (I googled that). And of those three million, the group that’s into me is probably smaller still.
I know the Finns are into me because there’s a Finnish web site linked to mine. However, here’s the showstopper, the Finnish site that’s linked to tildywilson.com is a porn site!
Arghhhh!
But hang on; I can get my head around that. I mean I’m a sexy girl.
I’m hippy and curvy with ample boobage. And those thighs of mine on my home page did you get a load of those? Aren’t they excellent?
Oh, and I’ve got red hair. That alone might suggest to those cold country, Nordic-types that I’m hot-blooded!
A sassy, red-haired, Aussie babe from the land of sun and surf would be a total turn on for people who live in the snow most of the year. They do! They’re so close to the Artic they might as well live on a glacier, for God’s sake.
Here’s another thought: It might be that the Finns are just curious about me because Australia is so far south, and where I think they live on a glacier with Artic penguins in their backyard, they probably think all Australians live in the desert and have kangaroos as pets.
So it’s that ‘opposites attract’ thingy. And then you take a hot Aussie babe off the beach and stick her on a website based in the middle of Christian and conservative vis-à-vis sexually NOT liberated America and well maybe that’s like sooo weird it’s even more of a turn on! Cripes, don’t no go there, Bloggers.
Trying to figure out what goes on in the minds of people surfing the web looking for sexy stuff is akin to a bad case of indigestion.
No? Not the case for you? That’s fine.
Access to the private thoughts of others is good fun for some, hence the popularity of the web. I mean take blogs for instance; they’re really just very public private thoughts.
Maybe that’s it! Maybe the Finns aren’t up to speed on blogging yet, so when some clever punter from said porn site found my blog with mention of words like boobage, bonking and uber-blokes they linked immediately thinking they were onto something kinky.
Little did they realize that those words are simply Aussie code for gossip between girls.
In the end, I think what’s going on is some good old cross-cultural curiosity. I bet the Finns browsing my site are just curious about a gal from down-under living in America. Likewise, to write this blog, I had to do some research on Finland.
Curiosity about people from other places is a very good thing because the more we know about each other the less likely we are to be ethnocentric.
I mean, come on; tell me you knew I was joking when I said that the Finnish live on a glacier they share with Artic penguins! Huh?
