Don’t hate me because I’m happy, even worse, happy tumbling out of bed every morning.
Used to be that morning people who happily hum during brekkie - formerly my self-professed dopey-grump hour - were top of my love-to-hate list. Though now that I’ve become the kind of person who irked me intensely, I’ve thrown away that particular list.

I saw a girl at the mall on a date. She was about sixteen and she was wearing mauve-blue lace undies over her pajamas.
I know this because a couple of inches of lace showed above the flannel tartan, baggy-legged jim-jams that sat several inches below her pierced belly button.

God I feel overwhelmed with the state of the world some days. Overwhelmed, powerless and unable to imagine how I can make a difference.
