Coffee Café Vagrancy

I popped into Starbucks for a cuppa this morning and turned into a vagrant loitering for hours. The scary thing is that I was not alone.
Though I normally frequent coffee cafés that sell tea and milk that have been harvested from shaded fields on cooperative farms (rather than fields clear-cut from shrinking jungles for covetous corporate agriculture and grazing), Starbucks ensnared me. And that’s because they’re everywhere now!

Nikov is threatening to take me on a sports date. I mean he waved two tickets at me with great zeal the other day. Arghhh!
I think I will have a bout of SAD, a sudden relapse of Seasonal Affective Disorder, such that I will have to take to my bed the night of the game. Whatever game it is. I mean what do they play this time of year? Huh?

I’m Back, Plus Some

I’m back from the home country and carrying excess luggage in the amount of at least eight pounds.
That’s approximately a pound per thigh; two around the tum, another two stuck to my bum, one per boob, and my underarms are wobblier than when I left.

It’s a Boy

For those bloggers who do not know, Australia’s very own, Mary Donaldson, future Queen of Denmark, has had a baby boy. That’s right, the baby prince is half Danish and half Australian.
Mary met Crown Prince Frederik and some of his mates out boozing one night at a pub in Sydney during the 2000 summer Olympics. Suddenly they had a thing going and voila, fast-forward five years: Mary and Fred are married, and now Mary is a royal mum.
